The AmeriHood Type-CWL Style Functional Ram Air Hood is a direct replacement for the original hood on 2007-2014 Chevrolet Tahoe vehicles. The hood utilizes factory hinges and latch for straightforward installation. Both the top and underside are finished with a smooth gel coat, simplifying the prep work required before painting and reducing labor time. Aluminum wire mesh grill inserts are included where applicable for a finished look. The manufacturer notes that this hood requires hand-finishing for paint preparation and proper fitment, and is not a simple bolt-on part; dry fitting is recommended before any paint or prep work is performed.
