Description

The Anderson Composites Type-GT carbon fiber hood is designed to enhance the appearance and performance of your 2010-2014 Ford Mustang GT500 or 2013-2014 Mustang GT/V6. Anderson Composites utilizes a premium manufacturing process for their VIP carbon fiber parts. This involves spraying resin onto the mold, laying carbon fiber fabric, applying another resin coat, and then vacuum-sealing the part for curing. This method ensures an excellent fabric-to-resin ratio. After curing, the hood is trimmed and finished with a polished gel coat for a high-luster, protected surface. A fiberglass skeleton is bonded to the underside of the carbon fiber hood, providing added strength and support. The hood features removable and paintable metal mesh screens and mounts using OE hardware. For safety, hood pins are required. It is crucial to note that gas hood shocks, dampers, or struts should not be installed, and a heat shield is necessary.
