The Anderson Composites Type-GT5 Double Sided Carbon Fiber Hood provides a significant aesthetic and functional upgrade for your Ford Mustang GT350, transforming its appearance with GT500-inspired styling. Wet carbon is a cost-effective alternative to dry carbon fiber, ensuring durability and visual appeal. It also incorporates heat extraction capabilities to help manage engine temperatures. The 2x2 twill weave pattern and glossy finish provide a high-end appearance. Installation of the Type-GT5 hood requires specific considerations. It mounts using OE hardware but mandates the use of hood pins for safety. Notably, you should not install gas hood shocks, dampers, or struts with this hood; instead, a heat shield is required. The carbon fiber construction allows for painting if desired. This hood is specifically designed for the 2015-2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 and GT350R models. Please note that due to its size and weight, this part ships via freight and expedited shipping is not available.
