Description

The Anderson Composites Type-GT5 Double Sided Carbon Fiber Hood is an aggressive styling upgrade for the 2024 Ford Mustang, inspired by the GT500. Constructed using a vacuum infusion process with 3K, 2x2 twill carbon fiber cloth, this hood features a glossy wet carbon finish that is both visually striking and protected from UV damage. The double-sided carbon fiber construction is bonded to a fiberglass skeleton, resulting in a lightweight component that typically weighs around 26 lbs. Installation utilizes OE hardware, hinges, and latch assembly. However, hood pins are required for safety, and gas hood shocks, dampers, or struts should not be reinstalled. A heat shield is also a necessary component for this installation. Modifications may be needed to accommodate the OE windshield washer spray nozzle system. This part ships via freight and expedited shipping is not available. California residents should be aware of the Cancer and Reproductive Harm warning.
