Description

The Anderson Composites Type-OE carbon fiber hood is engineered for the 2015-2023 Dodge Challenger Hellcat models. Anderson Composites utilizes a VIP manufacturing process where a coat of resin is applied to the mold, followed by layers of carbon fiber fabric. A final resin coat is applied before the part is vacuum-sealed to cure, ensuring an excellent fabric-to-resin ratio. This hood features a robust fiberglass skeleton bonded to its underside for enhanced strength and support. For safety, hood pins are required for installation, and the use of gas hood shocks, dampers, or struts is explicitly prohibited. A heat shield is also necessary for proper installation and function. The Type-OE hood accommodates twin OE hood vents, though these are not included. Some sources indicate a weight of approximately 26-28 lbs for this carbon fiber hood.
