The Anderson Composites Type-OE Style Hood offers a lightweight, high-strength alternative to your Corvette C7's factory hood, enhancing both performance and aesthetics. This hood is constructed using a vacuum infusion process with 3K, 2x2 twill carbon fiber cloth, ensuring a consistent weave pattern and an optimal carbon-to-resin ratio for superior stiffness and strength. Its surface is protected by a marine-grade gel coat with UV inhibitors, providing a durable, high-luster gloss finish that resists fading and wear. This performance-oriented design aims to shed unnecessary weight without compromising style or durability. The carbon fiber exterior is bonded to a fiberglass skeleton, contributing to its strength and weight savings. The hood includes a carbon fiber 2-piece hood vent and mounts using original equipment manufacturer (OEM) hardware, which is not included and requires minor adjustments for precise fitment.
