Type-S Monotube Coilover Kit

The Greddy Type S performance damper is an advanced monotube suspension kit specifically designed as a replacement for the standard components on the Nissan Silvia S14. Developed in collaboration with racing driver Takeshi Tsuchiya, this kit aims for the optimum balance of traction, comfort, and adjustability for both street and track use. Key features include large 46mm diameter pistons housed in a monotube shock for quick-reacting damping, even at low speeds. The suspension offers 32-way adjustable damping, allowing simultaneous adjustment of compression and rebound to suit various driving conditions. Full-length adjustable ride height is achieved through adjustable threaded bases and spring perches, ensuring that spring preload and shock stroke are maintained even when lowering the vehicle, thus preventing bottoming out and maintaining traction. The kit utilizes lightweight, high-grade coil springs made from SAE9254 high-strength steel, designed for precise stroke, durability, and low weight. The front springs are rated at 8K with a length of 200mm, while the rear springs are rated at 6K with a length of 160mm. For applications with strut-type front suspension, adjustable spherical bearing upper mounts (pillow-ball) are included, featuring thick 10mm aluminum upper plates for precise camber adjustments. For non-strut applications, strengthened rubber bushing upper mounts and billet aluminum brackets are used to provide a controllable handling profile with exceptional noise reduction. Additional features include adjustable base and spring perches for precise ride height adjustments in millimeter increments, thick billet upper mounts, and lightweight coil springs. An extended adjustment cable is provided for applications where rear shocks are mounted beneath a rear deck lid, simplifying damping adjustments.
