Type-SA Double-Sided Carbon Fiber Heat Extractor Hood

The Anderson Composites Type-SA Heat Extractor Hood is a performance-oriented component meticulously hand-crafted for 2018-2023 Ford Mustang models, including Bullitt, EcoBoost, EcoBoost Premium, GT, and GT Premium trims. Constructed with a vacuum-infused process utilizing 3K, 2x2 twill carbon fiber cloth, this double-sided hood is designed to promote heat extraction from the engine bay, featuring six vents and a removable, paintable mesh screen. The hood's construction incorporates a carbon fiber skeleton bonded to the underside, significantly reducing weight to an approximate 23.8 lbs while maintaining high product stiffness and strength due to an exceptional carbon/resin ratio. A marine-grade gel coat with UV inhibitors is applied and polished to achieve a high-luster, protective finish. Installation involves mounting with OE hardware, which is not supplied. Buyers should be aware that modifications may be necessary for correct fitment of the OE windshield washer spray nozzle system and that the mounting tabs might require minor adjustments during the installation process. For optimal fitment, professional installation by an expert experienced with carbon fiber components is recommended. Additional installation notes include the requirement for hood pins for safety and a heat shield.
