The Anderson Composites Type-SN hood is a direct-fit upgrade for the 2015-2017 Ford Mustang, crafted from wet carbon fiber for a high-end appearance and improved performance. This material is more budget-friendly than dry carbon, offers excellent UV protection, and boasts a glossy finish achieved through a process of compressing the carbon fiber fabric between layers of marine-grade resin with UV inhibitors, followed by a protective gel coat. The Type-SN style provides a modern, aggressive look that helps your Mustang stand out. Installation requires specific considerations. This hood mounts using OE hardware but necessitates the use of hood pins for safety. It is crucial NOT to install gas hood shocks, dampers, or struts, and a heat shield is also required. The hood can be painted to match your vehicle's color scheme. This hood fits the 2015-2017 Ford Mustang EcoBoost, EcoBoost Premium, GT, GT 50 Years Limited Edition, GT Premium, and V6 models. It does not fit Shelby GT350 or GT350R models. Please note that this item ships via freight and expedited shipping is not available.
