Type-ST Decklid

The Anderson Composites Type-ST Decklid is a premium carbon fiber rear decklid featuring an integrated spoiler, meticulously crafted for the 2016-2024 Chevrolet Camaro. A marine-grade gel coat with UV inhibitors is applied and polished, ensuring a durable surface and a brilliant high-luster finish. Designed for performance and aesthetics, the Type-ST decklid significantly reduces weight, weighing in at approximately 9.2 lbs compared to the stock unit's 19.4 lbs. This weight reduction can contribute to improved vehicle dynamics. The decklid utilizes OE hardware for mounting, which is not supplied with the product. Installation notes specify that the decklid fits 2016-2023 Chevrolet Camaro LS, LT, LT1, SS, and ZL1 coupe models only; it is not compatible with convertible models. It does not have a provision for the rear camera on 2019-2022 models. Occasional prepping of the third brake light opening may be necessary for optimal fitment. The seal for the OE brake lamp will be damaged upon removal and will require replacement, with automotive-grade 3M tape recommended for reinstallation (not included). Anderson Composites advises against installing or reinstalling high-profile or extra-large wings and spoilers on this decklid, as the resulting downforce can cause damage to the carbon fiber. Furthermore, mounting tabs may require minor modifications for correct fitment, and professional installation by an expert experienced with carbon fiber components is recommended for the best possible outcome. It is also important to note that OE gas struts should not be reinstalled, as they can place too much pressure on a composite decklid.
