The Anderson Composites Type-TS carbon fiber hood is meticulously crafted for the 2010-2015 Chevrolet Camaro, offering a blend of aggressive styling and lightweight construction. Manufactured using a vacuum-infused process with 3K, 2x2 twill carbon fiber cloth, this hood is finished with a marine-grade gel coat that includes UV inhibitors and a polished surface for a high-luster appearance, eliminating the need for an additional clear coat. It features removable and paintable mesh screens and utilizes OE hardware for mounting, ensuring a secure installation. Note that OE hardware is not included with the hood. Installation of this carbon fiber hood requires specific precautions. Hood pins are mandatory for safety, as Anderson Composites is not liable for any damages resulting from their improper use. Furthermore, the installation of gas hood shocks, dampers, or struts is strongly discouraged, as they can exert excessive pressure on the composite material, potentially leading to cracks. It is also essential to use a heat shield. Minor adjustments may be necessary during installation, and professional installation by an experienced body shop is recommended.
