The Exotics Carbon Design Type-VS1 Double Sided Carbon Fiber Hood is engineered to elevate the appearance and aerodynamics of your 2014-2019 Corvette C7. This striking hood, inspired by the Greek gods of the winds, combines aggressive styling with precision craftsmanship. It is hand-laid using premium 3K, 2x2 twill carbon fiber composite, offering a lightweight yet rigid construction. The Type-VS1 features aggressive side vent styling and a central aerodynamic window, designed to not only enhance airflow but also to proudly display your engine bay. Its finish includes a glossy, UV-resistant gel coating and clear coat, providing protection against harsh sunlight and ensuring a lustrous appearance that attracts attention. Developed using Z06 trim and tested on Stingray, Z51, and Grand-Sport models, this hood is designed for a direct bolt-on fit with minor alignment and fine-tuning adjustments required. Professional installation is recommended. The original OE hardware should be reused. It is crucial to install a Thermo-tec Heat Shield or an equivalent on the underside to protect the carbon fiber from premature damage or failure; failure to do so will void the warranty. Hood pins are optional but recommended for high-speed applications.
