The K&N Typhoon 69-8005TWR is a performance air intake system designed to replace the factory restrictive intake on select Subaru Impreza WRX STI models. This system features a low-restriction, mandrel-bent aluminum intake tube with a powder-coated red finish. It includes a heat shield, a washable and reusable cotton air filter, and necessary couplers and clamps for installation.

The washable and reusable filter is designed to last up to 100,000 miles before servicing is required. Installation is estimated to take 90 minutes or less and does not require tuning.

The K&N Typhoon 69-8005TWR is a short ram air intake system engineered to replace the stock, restrictive intake on the 2008-2014 Subaru Impreza WRX STI (2.5L H4 Turbo, AWD). This performance upgrade features a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum intake tube with a durable powder-coated red finish for both aesthetics and performance. The system includes a K&N high-flow, washable, and reusable cotton air filter that is designed to last up to 100,000 miles between servicing. This enhanced airflow can lead to a noticeable improvement in throttle response, a reduction in turbo lag, and an increase in both horsepower and torque. The system comes complete with a heat shield to help isolate the intake air from engine heat, a strategically placed MAF sensor flange, and all necessary silicone couplers and clamps for a straightforward installation, typically completed in 90 minutes or less. Installation of the K&N Typhoon 69-8005TWR does not require engine tuning. However, it is important to note that the CARB EO Number D-269-37 is only applicable for the 2008-2010 model years of the Subaru Impreza WRX STI.
