The K&N 69-6000TP Typhoon air intake system is a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tube induction system designed to fit Mazda Miata and MX-5 models.

It replaces the restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing to dramatically reduce air flow restriction, smoothing and straightening air flow into the engine. This allows for more air intake, leading to increased power and acceleration throughout the RPM range.

The K&N 69-6000TP Typhoon air intake system is engineered to boost your vehicle's performance by replacing the restrictive factory air filter and intake housing with a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tube. The result is an increased volume of air, which translates to more usable power and improved acceleration across the entire RPM range. The kit includes a black rubber-topped K&N high-flow air filter, and the polished aluminum intake tube accommodates factory mass air and temperature sensors, as well as the crankcase vent hose. The oversized cone-shaped air filter is washable, reusable, and can last up to 100,000 miles before requiring service, depending on driving conditions. Installation is designed to be relatively easy, typically completed in 90 minutes or less using existing factory mounting points. K&N guarantees an increase in horsepower and claims improvements in throttle response and engine sound. The system comes with a Million Mile Limited Warranty. This K&N Typhoon air intake system is specifically designed for 1999-2005 Mazda Miata 1.8L RWD models. It is crucial to verify specific vehicle applications for CARB status, as some Typhoon systems may not be legal for sale or use in California and other states that adopt California emission standards, while others are CARB exempt and 50-state legal.
