The K&N 69-4510TS Typhoon air intake system is engineered to deliver a significant boost in performance for specific Chevrolet Cavalier and Pontiac Sunfire models. By smoothing and straightening the air entering the engine, it allows for a larger volume of air to reach the throttle body, resulting in a guaranteed increase in horsepower and acceleration throughout the engine's RPM range. Constructed with a durable aluminum intake tube and a washable, reusable cotton gauze air filter, this system is built for longevity and performance. The oversized cone-shaped air filter requires service only after up to 100,000 miles, depending on driving conditions. Installation is designed to be straightforward, typically completed within 90 minutes using existing factory mounting points, requiring only basic hand tools like screwdrivers, pliers, and a ratchet set. This K&N Typhoon air intake system is CARB exempt and 50-state legal, with CARB EO number D-269-37. It is specifically designed to fit the 2.2L 4-cylinder engine in the 2003-2004 Chevrolet Cavalier (2190), the 2002-2005 Chevrolet Cavalier (2198), and the 2002-2004 Pontiac Sunfire (2198).
