The K&N 69-6540TP Typhoon air intake system is a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tube air induction system designed to fit select Mitsubishi Lancer models. It replaces the restrictive factory air filter and intake housing to dramatically reduce airflow restriction, smoothing and straightening airflow into the engine. This allows for increased air intake, leading to more usable power and acceleration throughout the RPM range. The system includes a K&N high-flow air filter and features an attractive, durable chrome-like finish.

The K&N 69-6540TP Typhoon air intake system is engineered to boost performance for 2002-2006 Mitsubishi Lancer models with a 2.0L engine. By replacing the factory air intake components with a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tube, this system significantly reduces airflow restriction. This allows your engine to breathe more freely, resulting in a guaranteed increase in horsepower, improved throttle response, and a more aggressive engine sound. The polished aluminum tube provides an attractive, long-lasting finish. Installation of the K&N 69-6540TP is designed to be relatively easy, typically completed in 90 minutes or less. The system includes a K&N high-flow, washable, and reusable lifetime air filter that can last up to 100,000 miles before servicing, depending on driving conditions. It accommodates the factory mass air sensor and comes with a replacement silicone crank case vent hose. The kit includes all necessary clamps and couplers for installation. This K&N air intake system is street legal in all US states and features a CARB EO Number D-269-32. It comes with K&N's Million Mile Limited Warranty. It is estimated to provide a 4.26 HP gain at 4491 RPM and a 5 lb-ft torque gain.
