The K&N 69-7081KP Typhoon air intake system is a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tube air induction system designed for some Infiniti G35 models. It replaces the restrictive factory air filter and housing to reduce airflow restriction, smoothing and straightening airflow for increased engine power and acceleration. The intake tube features a silver powder-coat finish and accommodates the factory mass air sensor and crank case vent hose.

The K&N 69-7081KP Typhoon air intake system is engineered as a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tube induction system, designed to fit specific Infiniti G35 models. It directly replaces the restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing, significantly reducing airflow restriction. By smoothing and straightening the air entering the engine, this system allows for a greater volume of air intake, which translates to increased usable power and improved acceleration across the engine's RPM range. The system includes an oversized, cone-shaped air filter that can last up to 100,000 miles before requiring service, depending on driving conditions. Installation is typically straightforward, often completed within 90 minutes or less, utilizing existing factory mounting points. The required tools are basic: a screwdriver, pliers, a ratchet set, and an Allen wrench. This intake requires no tune for installation. While K&N is a leader in automotive filtration for over 50 years, it is important to note that some Typhoon air intakes are not legal for sale or use in California and other states adopting California emission standards. However, others are CARB exempt and 50-state legal. Always check the K&N catalog or website for specific vehicle applications and the CARB status for your exact vehicle and air intake model.
