The K&N 69-3531TS Typhoon air intake system is engineered to deliver a significant power and torque increase by optimizing airflow to your engine. By allowing your engine to ingest a larger volume of air, the 69-3531TS system provides a guaranteed power gain and improved acceleration across the entire RPM range. The intake features a durable silver powder-coat finish on the aluminum tube for a lasting aesthetic and includes a chrome-topped K&N high-flow air filter. This oversized, cone-shaped air filter is designed for extended service intervals, potentially lasting up to 100,000 miles before requiring maintenance, depending on driving conditions. The system also accommodates the factory air temperature sensor and is designed for a relatively straightforward installation, typically completed in 90 minutes or less, utilizing existing factory mounting points. Fitment is specific to certain Ford models. This K&N 69-3531TS intake is confirmed to fit the 2011-2018 Ford Taurus SHO, 2015 Ford Explorer (Base, Limited, XLT), 2016-2019 Ford Explorer (Platinum), 2013-2019 Ford Explorer (Sport), 2014-2019 Ford Flex (Limited, SEL), and 2014, 2018-2019 Ford Flex (SE). Some K&N Typhoon air intakes may not be legal for sale or use in California and other states that adopt California emission standards. It is recommended to check the K&N catalog or website for specific vehicle applications and CARB status.
