Overview

The K&N Typhoon air intake system is a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tube induction system designed to fit select Nissan 370Z and Infiniti G37 models. It replaces restrictive factory air filters and housings to reduce airflow restriction and smooth air flow. This allows the engine to inhale more air, providing more usable power and acceleration throughout the RPM range.

The K&N 69-7078TS Typhoon air intake system is engineered to significantly improve airflow for your Nissan 370Z or Infiniti G37. By smoothing and straightening air flow, the Typhoon intake allows your engine to ingest a larger volume of air, resulting in a guaranteed increase in horsepower and acceleration across the entire RPM range. The attractive silver powder-coated finish on the intake tubes not only adds a custom look but is also built to last. Provisions are made to accommodate the factory mass air sensors and crankcase vent hoses. The oversized cone-shaped air filters are designed for longevity, offering service intervals of up to 100,000 miles depending on driving conditions. Installation of the 69-7078TS is designed to be relatively straightforward, typically completed in 90 minutes or less, utilizing existing factory mounting points. Basic hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, a ratchet set, and several wrenches are generally required. It's important to note that some K&N Typhoon air intakes may not be legal for sale or use in California and other states adopting California emission standards. Always check the K&N catalog or website for specific vehicle applications and the CARB status for your region.
