The K&N 69-7070TB Typhoon cold-air intake system is a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tube air induction system designed for select Nissan 350Z 3.5 Liter V6 models from 2003-2006. It replaces the restrictive factory air filter and housing with a design that pulls in cooler air and reduces airflow restriction, allowing the engine to ingest denser air for increased power and acceleration across the RPM range. The system includes a roto-molded plastic intake scoop, free-flowing aluminum tubing with a blue powder-coat finish, and a K&N high-flow air filter within a carbon fiber topped air box.

The K&N 69-7070TB Typhoon cold-air intake system is engineered to provide a guaranteed power gain for 2003-2006 Nissan 350Z models with the VQ35DE engine. This performance air intake system replaces the factory air filter and intake tube to dramatically reduce airflow restriction by smoothing and straightening air flow. This allows your engine to inhale a larger amount of denser air than the factory air intake, resulting in more usable power and improved acceleration throughout the engine's RPM range. The system features a roto-molded plastic intake scoop that directs cooler outside air through free-flowing, mandrel-bent, 3-inch aluminum tubing with an attractive blue powder-coat finish. It integrates seamlessly with the factory mass air sensor and crank case vent hose, and includes a washable, reusable K&N high-flow air filter with a carbon fiber top. This oversized cone-shaped air filter is designed to last up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed, depending on driving conditions. Installation typically requires basic hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, a ratchet set, and several wrenches. Additionally, some K&N Typhoon air intakes may not be legal for sale or use in California and other states adopting California emission standards. It is recommended to check the K&N catalog or website for specific vehicle applications and CARB status.
