Typhoon Cold Air Intake System

The K&N 69-6010TS Typhoon cold-air intake system is a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tube air induction system designed to fit specific Mazda 3 and Mazda 5 Van models from 2003-2009 with 2.0L or 2.3L engines. This performance kit replaces the restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing with a K&N high-flow air filter and polished aluminum tubing. The design aims to pull in cooler air and significantly reduce air flow restriction by smoothing and straightening the air path. This improved air flow allows the engine to ingest a larger volume of denser air, resulting in increased usable power and acceleration across the engine's RPM range. Key features include a guaranteed horsepower increase, improved throttle response, and enhanced engine sound. The system is designed for easy installation, typically taking 90 minutes or less. The oversized cone air filter is washable and reusable, with a lifespan of up to 100,000 miles before servicing is required, depending on driving conditions. It also comes with a water-repellent DryCharger filter wrap to protect against moisture and is backed by K&N's Million Mile Limited Warranty. This system is CARB exempt and 50-state legal. It is designed to fit 2003-2009 Mazda 3 models with 2.0L and 2.3L engines, as well as select Mazda 5 Van models.
