The Professional Products Typhoon Intake Manifold in satin finish is engineered for the 4.6L Ford Mustang, specifically for the 1999-2004 model years with 2V engines. This three-piece manifold design facilitates easier access for porting and tuning. It is a direct bolt-in replacement, utilizing the stock alternator and all other original engine accessories. For earlier 1996-1998 engines, it can be fitted if 1999 or later heads are installed. This intake system has been dyno-proven to deliver significant performance gains, including an increase of 21.5 rear wheel horsepower at 6,500 rpm over a stock manifold. It also provides enhanced torque from 4,000 rpm upwards. For optimal results and to achieve the manifold's maximum power potential around 6,300 rpm, a cam change is recommended, as stock cams may limit the engine's ability to rev to that point. With appropriate camshafts, the manifold can contribute to over 20 additional rear wheel horsepower compared to using a stock manifold with the same cam upgrade. Included with the manifold are essential hardware components such as a stainless steel alternator bracket, upper plenum to manifold gasket, and stainless steel intake bolts. The installation is estimated to take approximately 4 hours and requires mechanical expertise or professional installation. Note that this part has been discontinued and is no longer available.
