The Dana Spicer Ultimate Dana 60™ Bracketless Crate Axle is a robust rear axle assembly engineered for the most demanding off-road applications. Designed with a "bracketless" configuration, it allows for versatile installation into virtually any application, requiring users to weld on the brackets specific to their rig. This ensures compatibility and customization for unique builds. Constructed for serious strength, this axle boasts a full-floating design for exceptional load-carrying capacity. Key internal components include massive Spicer® SPL® 70 u-joints, 35-spline SAE-4340 nickel chromoly steel axle shafts for higher torque and larger tires, and genuine Spicer 10-inch performance ring and pinion gears. The aggressive nodular iron differential cover provides added protection. This assembly comes equipped with upgraded, heavy-duty brakes featuring dual-piston calipers and a plug-and-play ABS system for reliable stopping power. For enhanced traction, it includes an Eaton® ELocker®, providing selectable locking differential functionality. Further enhancing its off-road prowess are features like Warn® 35-spline hub locks, a dead spindle design for increased strength and serviceability, and a high-clearance carrier with a ribbed housing. The axle utilizes ultra-strong 3-1/2" tubes with a 3/8" wall thickness and features a heavy-duty 8 x 6.5" wheel bolt pattern. The drive shaft utilizes a Spicer® 1350 strap-style/half-round end yoke.
