Each camshaft is precision-ground from new blanks on a BERCO LYNX 2000 CNC grinder. Piper Cams pays close attention to lobe edges to prevent premature wear on camshaft followers, ensuring accuracy and quality suitable for motorsport applications.

The Piper Cams FECO20BP285 "ULTIMATE ROAD" camshaft is engineered to enhance the performance of the Ford Focus ST MK3 EcoBoost 2.0L engine. Designed for excellent turbocharger response, this camshaft aims to significantly increase both torque and power output within its 2000-7500 RPM operating range. Constructed from brand new blanks and ground on a BERCO LYNX 2000 CNC camshaft grinder, each camshaft is manufactured to professional standards. Piper Cams ensures meticulous attention to detail, including deburring and protecting lobe edges, to safeguard camshaft followers from premature wear. This commitment to quality is derived from their extensive experience in motorsport, including Le Mans, WRC, and Touring Cars. The "ULTIMATE ROAD" profile, part number FECO20BP285, offers specific performance characteristics with an intake duration of 264° and an exhaust duration of 256°. The lift specifications are 0.427" (10.85mm) for the intake and 0.382" (9.70mm) for the exhaust. The lobe separation angle is 129°, with an exhaust lobe center of 104°. Important installation notes indicate that Piper valve springs (part number VSSFECO20K) are required for this camshaft specification. This camshaft is generally considered a stage 3 upgrade, suitable for modified road and track day applications, and may require additional supporting modifications for optimal performance.
