Show original supplier description

The Piper Cams camshafts for the Jaguar XJ6 6-cylinder engine are engineered to provide a balanced "Ultimate Road" profile, suitable for performance street driving. The set is specifically designed to expand the engine's effective power band to between 2500 and 6500 RPM, delivering a notable increase in peak horsepower. Technically, these camshafts feature a 280-degree duration for both inlet and exhaust, with a valve lift of .450" (11.43mm) on the inlet side and .448" (11.38mm) on the exhaust side. They are compatible with 3.8L and 4.2L 6-cylinder Jaguar engines. Proper installation requires precise valve clearances, specified at .010" (0.25mm) for the inlet and .012" (0.30mm) for the exhaust.
