The Ultimax compound features an optimized fiber blend, including a small percentage of steel fiber, which contributes to its popular status and unique characteristics within the EBC brake range. This blend ensures good heat range abilities and low rotor wear, making it a cost-effective and durable choice. ECE R 90 approved, the Ultimax pads are rated as equivalent to original parts, providing first-class driving safety at a significantly lower price point than many OEM options. The pads offer medium dust levels and are ideal for normal commute driving conditions, with a stated stopping power of .25 and a noise level rating of 1 out of 5. This particular part number, UD1102, is specified for the front axle and is compatible with a range of Acura TL models from 2009 to 2020, including various engine and trim configurations like the 3.5L V6 Base and SH-AWD, and the 2.4L 4-Cylinder Base.
