The Skunk2 ULTRA 3 Camshaft is engineered for K-Series engines, representing Skunk2's highest-performing camshaft option. It is constructed from premium forged tool steel cores, ensuring increased torsional strength and durability while reducing friction. Featuring Skunk2's Fast Ramp and AMAX profile technology, this camshaft enhances overall performance and provides unmatched response from idle to redline. AMAX technology maximizes the area under the lift curve without compromising valvetrain stability or reliability, offering greater efficiency and more power. Fast Ramp technology, used in Formula One racing, reduces seat timing, leading to increased cylinder pressure and torque without affecting valvetrain longevity. This camshaft is intended for moderately aggressive modified vehicles, including those with 2.4L big bore engines, high compression setups, road racing applications, or aggressive turbo builds. It is designed to deliver up to 50-60+ HP gains. Required parts recommended by Skunk2 include Pro Series Valve Springs (for lower RPM, lower compression builds), Pro Series "XP" Valve Springs (for higher RPM, higher compression builds), and Titanium Retainers for overall stability.
