The MSD Ultra 6A Ignition Control is a compact, high-performance capacitive discharge ignition system designed for 4, 6, and 8-cylinder engines with distributors. It provides consistently high spark energy (135mJ to 150mJ) from idle to redline, improving throttle response and starting. It's a plug-and-play upgrade for existing 6201 or MSD 6A installations, featuring a new processor and board design for efficiency, minimal heat, and maximum spark energy with less current draw. It operates on most 7 to 28-volt electrical systems and connects to points and magnetic pickups. This unit is 60% smaller and 50% lighter than the MSD Digital 6A (344 grams). It is fully protected against open or shorted coils and open loads.
