Ultra Series Forged Piston Set for 2.0 TSI EA888

The JE Pistons Ultra Series is a set of forged high-performance pistons engineered for 2.0 TSI EA888 engines that utilize a timing chain, commonly found in vehicles like the Golf 6, Golf 7, A3, and Leon. These pistons are built for extreme conditions, offering an exceptionally lightweight design thanks to a special alloy and reinforced construction for maximum performance. The Ultra Series pistons are designed to support up to 1000hp and are available with piston pin sizes of 21mm, 22mm, or 23mm. They come as a complete set, including piston pins, rings, and clips, with installation and bore dimensions provided. The specified compression ratio is achieved in combination with a 0.79 mm cylinder head gasket. It is important to note that from a boost pressure of 2 bar, reinforced TURBO piston pins must be used. JE Pistons offers various designs for these pistons. The 'Normal' version features a completely round piston skirt. The 'Q - Asymmetrical' design has an asymmetrical piston skirt, wider on the major thrust side and narrower on the minor thrust side to reduce friction; these versions require special oil spray nozzles for piston crown cooling. The 'FSR pistons' (Forged Side Relief) also feature an asymmetrical design with precise CNC machining for high strength and durability. The 'Ultra Series' pistons represent JE's most advanced technology, including a revolutionary Perfect Skirt coating to protect skirts, reduce friction, and prevent cold-start piston slap. They also include a ceramic crown coating for enhanced service life and better exhaust gas cleaning, along with thicker piston pins made from premium material, all utilizing Grain Flow Optimized forging technology.
