The Skunk2 Racing Ultra Series Street Intake Manifold is a performance-enhancing component specifically engineered for the NA and NB Mazda Miata 1.8L models. This advanced intake manifold boasts a modular two-piece design with a removable 1.80L plenum, facilitating easy disassembly, porting, and volume adjustments. It incorporates tapered 10.00-inch long high-velocity runners featuring raised bell-mouth entries and smooth transitions, all meticulously designed to optimize airflow distribution to each cylinder under dynamic load conditions. Constructed from high-grade 356 aluminum alloy, this manifold offers exceptional strength and a lightweight profile. It is CNC-machined to exacting standards for a precise fit and undergoes individual inspection to ensure quality assurance. The Ultra Street Intake Manifold features a generous 68mm throttle body opening that is compatible with the OEM throttle body bolt pattern. Its runner walls are cast with ample thickness at the entry, minimizing concerns during port matching. This design effectively eliminates obstructive VICS and VTCS butterflies, contributing to a less restrictive intake path. The manifold's development involved extensive R&D, including the use of CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) software and rigorous in-house dyno and on-car testing. This comprehensive testing has resulted in a design that aims to yield significant torque and power gains compared to other available options. It is suitable for modified naturally aspirated applications as well as mild turbo or supercharged setups. Additionally, it is tapped with 1/8 NPT, 1/4 NPT, and 10mm threads for accessory fittings.
