UMI Performance 93-02 GM F-Body Tunnel Mount Trq. Arm Stock Ext. No Loop- CrMo - Black

The UMI Performance 2200CM-B Tunnel Mounted Torque Arm is a street/strip performance upgrade designed to replace the factory torque arm on 1993-2002 Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac Firebird (F-Body) vehicles. This shorter, more rigid design optimizes instant center, shortens response time, and improves launch. By relocating the torque arm from the transmission to the tunnel area, it protects the transmission from damage and eliminates cracked tail housings. It effectively reduces wheel hop and solves traction problems. The design allows for easy on-the-car pinion angle and instant center adjustments. It features greaseable polyurethane bushings to minimize road noise and offers a bolt-on installation with no welding or drilling required. The kit includes a drive shaft loop mount for an optional UMI P/N 2204 drive shaft loop. Construction consists of 1-1/4” USA DOM seamless steel tubing, heavy-duty USA rectangular tubing for the crossmember, and house-made 4140 Chromoly tube adapters and adjusters. The strong 3/8” thick mild steel rear mount is compatible with stock axle housings, Moser 12-Bolt, Moser 9” with bracket, Strange S60, and Quick Performance 9” with bracket. The component is finished with a durable gloss black powder coat. The Chromoly version (2200CM-B) utilizes USA 4130 Chromoly tubing and is 100% TIG welded, offering increased strength and reduced weight, recommended for vehicles running 10.50’s and faster in the ¼ mile.
