The UMI Performance Stage 1 Strip Grip Kit (MPN: 102620-R) is designed to enhance the 60-foot times and launch consistency of 1999-2004 Ford Mustangs (excluding Cobra models) for drag racing. This kit reinforces the rear suspension to optimize traction. It features rear lift bars and lower control arm reinforcements constructed from 0.120-inch thick mild steel, which are CNC machined and MIG welded for durability and precise fitment. The kit includes solid aluminum bushings with zinc-plated steel sleeves and heavy-duty sway bar mounts, all finished with a tough, durable powder coat for wear and corrosion resistance. Installation can be either weld-in or bolt-in, taking approximately 3 hours, and includes all necessary hardware and detailed instructions.
