Description

The Hedman 89230 headers are a direct-fit solution for enhancing the exhaust system of 1954-1972 2WD Ford F100 and F150 trucks equipped with the 429-460 (385 Series) Big Block engines. These shorty headers are fabricated from durable mild steel with a 0.375 inch thick flange for a secure, leak-resistant seal. They feature 1-3/4 inch primary tube diameters that smoothly transition into 3-inch ball and socket style collectors, designed for a gasketless connection. The system is compatible with a 2-1/2 inch exhaust system diameter, and includes necessary hardware, gaskets, and 3-bolt exhaust adapters for installation. It is important to note that these headers are explicitly designated for off-road use only and are not street legal for 1975 and later model years due to emissions regulations. They are specifically designed for 2WD drivetrains and the Ford 429-460 (385 Series) engine.
