The Design Engineering 050097 is a custom-cut hoodliner insulation kit engineered from their Black Under Hood™ material. It serves as an ideal replacement for deteriorated or dirty factory hood liners, offering enhanced protection for your paintwork against heat and chemical exposure. Each kit is precisely CNC cut to ensure a perfect fitment on the specified application. Installation is straightforward, featuring an aggressive adhesive backing for a simple peel-and-stick process. The kit includes one 5-piece pre-cut insulation set and is proudly made in the U.S.A. The black textured finish contributes to a cleaner engine bay appearance while providing practical benefits. This specific kit is designed for the 1970-1972 Chevrolet Chevelle with a standard hood. Its application of controlling engine heat and noise leads to a quieter passenger compartment and cooler hood surfaces, thereby preserving the vehicle's paint.
