The Steeda Underdrive Pulleys offer a performance upgrade for 4.6L engines, specifically noted for 2005-2010 Mustang GT models. Steeda, a leader in underdrive pulley design, was the first to achieve SFI approval for these components on 4.6L engines. The crank pulley features a robust one-piece nodular iron construction with an injection-molded rubber design, distinguishing it from less durable piggyback designs. The specialized rubber material is chosen for its superior ability to absorb torsional vibrations and withstand high underhood temperatures. By slowing accessory speed by roughly 25%, these underdrive pulleys significantly reduce parasitic accessory drag on the engine.
