Overview

This universal 57" hot rod round-back rear end kit from Currie Enterprises features a 9-Plus heavy-duty housing and a 31-spline performance axle package. It has 3" diameter steel tubes and a 0.94" pinion offset. The small webbed-style center is designed to accept triangulated 4-link brackets. A 9" Ford 3rd member (chunk) is required and not included. The axles include both 5 x 4 1/2" and 5 x 4 3/4" wheel bolt patterns, along with sets of 7/16" and 1/2" studs. It comes with 1/4" thick heavy-duty bearing retainer plates and pressed-on tapered Timken style wheel bearings. The axle flanges are the big bearing Ford (new style), also known as "Torino" style. The 57" overall width is measured from outside-of-axle-flange to outside-of-axle-flange.
