HushMat floor kits are designed to reduce thermal transfer and road noise/vibration. They feature a proprietary USA-manufactured visco-elastic chemistry that dissipates heat, insulating the interior and reducing the load on the air conditioning system. The butyl sheets are self-adhesive, peel-and-stick, and do not require glue, alcohol/acetone wash, or special installation tools. They are universal in application, meaning they can be applied to the firewall, floor pan, tunnel, doors, roof, rear wheel wells, trunk, and quarter panels. They reduce heat and thermal transfer by over 40 percent and are lightweight (less than 1/8 inch thick and 0.47 lbs per sq. ft.). They can be trimmed with a razor knife or household scissors and insulate from -30 degrees up to 550+ degrees F. They also reduce low-frequency road noise and vibration (0-1,000 Hz) and are OEM approved.
