The Griffin CX-00003 is a universal fluid cooler engineered for demanding applications. Constructed from heavy-duty extruded tube and fin aluminum, this cooler boasts a dual-pass core design that enhances fluid contact time for superior heat rejection. An integrated aluminum shroud works in conjunction with a high-output SPAL fan to maintain consistent airflow across the entire cooling surface, ensuring effective temperature management even at low vehicle speeds. It includes two 1/2" NPT female ports, facilitating simple plumbing integration into various custom builds. The specifications include a core size of 24.50" x 4.63", a 1.75" core thickness, and a single row of 1.75" extruded tubes. Ideal for high-load racing, endurance applications, LS engine swaps, and transmissions such as TH400, Powerglide, 4L80E, and 700R4, this cooler is recommended when performance and reliability are paramount. For lighter-duty applications or trail rigs, a smaller Griffin cooler may be more suitable.
