The STS Turbo STS1000 is a universal single turbo kit that provides the foundation for installing a patented remote-mounted turbocharger on a wide variety of vehicles. Designed for engines ranging from 4.0 to 5.0 liters, this kit is capable of supporting an impressive 620 crankshaft horsepower. Its innovative remote mounting design overcomes common installation challenges by placing the turbocharger away from the hot engine bay, potentially in locations like the stock muffler's position or lower in the chassis. This relocation not only helps keep under-hood temperatures down but also frees up space, eliminating potential interference with belts, pulleys, and other engine bay components. The STS1000 kit facilitates a cleaner engine bay and allows for the retention of stock exhaust manifolds, catalytic converters, and mid-pipes, as well as the stock intake and throttle body if desired. The remote mounting location can also contribute to better weight transfer, potentially increasing traction, and the turbocharger itself can act as a muffler, providing a unique performance sound.
