The 1320 Performance Up-Pipe is engineered to enhance the performance of Subaru Impreza WRX (2002-2012) and STI (2004-2012) models with the EJ257 engine. This component directly addresses the restrictive factory catalytic converter located before the turbocharger, which can impede exhaust gas velocity and delay turbo spool-up. By eliminating this catalytic converter, the Up-Pipe facilitates a smoother, faster flow of exhaust gases into the turbocharger, resulting in a noticeable decrease in boost lag and improved throttle response. The flex pipe is crucial for reducing stress on the exhaust system and mitigating the risk of cracking under demanding driving conditions or heavy-duty loads. The design also includes a bung with a cap for the OEM EGT sensor, maintaining compatibility with essential engine monitoring. Installation is a direct bolt-on process for the specified WRX and STI models. Important considerations: This product is designed and intended for off-road use only and may not be legal for sale or use on pollution-controlled vehicles in your state or country. The EGT sensor port has an M12 x 1.50 thread pitch, and the O2 sensor port has an M18x1.50 thread pitch.
