The M-Pact ST1 Upgrade Clutch Kit (07096ST1) is engineered for enhanced performance, utilizing a matched pressure plate and a high-torque, heavy-duty steel-back friction disc. This "steel to steel" riveting process offers increased clamping force and superior burst strength, while the reinforced steel backing promotes better heat dissipation for extended wear and rapid recovery. The high-torque discs are built with precision components, featuring a thicker retainer stamping and a harder hub to ensure maximum strength and reliability. For smoother engagement and minimized shock, the assembly incorporates six inner and six outer heavy-duty torsional dampening springs. This clutch kit is ideal for stock applications or vehicles with mild power increases. The M-Pact ST1 Upgrade Clutch Kit is designed to offer improved performance over stock while maintaining reliability. Specific fitment includes the 1995-1996 Ford Explorer 4.0L V6 and the 2000 Mazda B4000, among other compatible vehicles. Key features include an OE quality pressure plate, a high-torque sprung hub and disc assembly, and steel-backed friction materials combined with segmented ceramic elements. The 23-tooth spline count ensures proper engagement with the transmission's input shaft.
