Upgraded Secondary Heat Exchanger System

The Eurocompulsion Upgraded Secondary Heat Exchanger System is an add-on for the Alfa Romeo Giulia 2.0L, designed to lower intercooler temperatures and support consistent, reliable power. This system integrates with the existing factory heat exchanger and plumbing, featuring its own mounting system, bracket, hoses, fittings, and a supplemental coolant pump with a wiring harness. The factory intercooling system on the Giulia 2.0L is designed to cool both the turbocharger and the charge air from the turbo. However, on modified vehicles, especially those intended for track use, increasing this cooling capacity is beneficial. This Eurocompulsion upgrade significantly enhances cooling efficiency by utilizing a heat exchanger that is twice the size of the factory units found in the Stelvio and QV models. It also incorporates an additional pump to aid circulation, resulting in superior intercooling and turbo cooling capacity. The system's placement is optimized, with the upgraded secondary unit located in the front and center of the 'V' Grille to capture the maximum amount of ram air. This strategic positioning, identified through airflow testing, ensures superior cooling performance compared to factory-alternative locations. The heat exchanger has been extensively tested on a daily driven Giulia with over 400 horsepower, proving its capability across track, drag strip, and street conditions. Key features include a 130% larger core volume than OEM secondary units, expanded end tanks for improved heat dissipation, and lower intercooler and intercooler coolant temperatures (up to 20F and 16F reduction, respectively). This leads to improved performance and power consistency. The system is completely plug-and-play and includes all necessary hardware, hoses, and wiring. Important notes for installation include the need for 1-2 gallons of additional factory coolant and the requirement of a Eurocompulsion V2 or V4 Intake. This system will not work on some EU crashbars.
