Upper Control Arms

The BMR Suspension UTCA030 upper control arms are engineered to enhance the performance of your 2011-2014 Ford Mustang by providing increased launching power, reduced wheel hop, and improved cornering consistency. The stock control arms, with their soft rubber bushings, tend to deflect under load, absorbing power rather than transferring it to the tires. BMR's solution utilizes a robust construction from heavy-duty 1 5/8 inch, 0.120-inch wall DOM steel tubing, creating a strong control arm that significantly boosts performance. These control arms feature two-inch greasable, 95-durometer polyurethane bushings designed to offer a solid and more responsive feel compared to the original rubber components. The internal fluting of BMR's bushings ensures that grease remains within the bushing, even under heavy load, while also lubricating the thrust surface. This design promotes quiet and reliable operation throughout the lifespan of the bushings. Designed for street performance, drag racing, and road racing applications, the UTCA030 addresses the inherent flex and deflection in the stock control arm. This flex leads to inconsistent handling. By eliminating control arm flex, these BMR arms offer much improved repeatability on the street, at the starting line, and in corners. BMR Suspension offers the UTCA030 non-adjustable polyurethane upper control arms in a choice of red or black hammertone powdercoat for a durable and attractive finish. The estimated installation time is 2-3 hours. BMR strongly recommends upgrading the stock Upper Control Arm Mount (part # UCM002) when installing aftermarket upper control arms on S197 Mustangs to prevent potential clunking noises.
