Upper Control Arms

The Dirt King DK-811903 Heim Upper Control Arms are engineered to resolve compromises in geometry and strength when lifting a vehicle with stock upper control arms. These arms feature a CAD-designed, boxed plate construction for enhanced durability and strength, utilizing American-made FK bearings and 4130 chromoly uniball cups. They offer an increased castor angle and repositioned pivot angles to reduce stress on joints, allowing for proper alignment and improved handling. Replacing the factory ball joints with 1-inch stainless steel uniballs provides maximum strength and increased articulation. For the inner pivots, heavy-duty 3/4-inch FK heim joints are used, offering additional camber and caster adjustability. The kit includes 17-4 stainless steel misalignment spacers and military-grade F911 hardware for mounting the arms to the spindle. These upper control arms are designed for 2WD and 4WD models and must be paired with OEM replacement coil-overs to achieve lift. They provide an additional 1-inch of down travel compared to stock arms and are compatible with Dobinsons, King, Fox, Bilstein, ADS, and Icon coil-overs. It is advised not to install these arms with coil spacers that over-articulate the suspension. Note that some King OEM replacement coil-overs may have short reservoir hoses that can interfere with aftermarket upper control arms; this can be resolved by installing longer hoses or adjusting the reservoir position. The Dirt King DK-811903 arms allow for the fitment of 33-inch tires, though the front section of the cab mount may require cutting and the front bumper may need trimming for proper clearance during turning.
