Upper Dogbone Mount Insert

The 034 Motorsport Upper Dogbone Mount Insert is engineered to safeguard your drivetrain from the stresses of aggressive driving. This insert is specifically designed for MkV/MkVI Volkswagen Golf/GTI/R/Jetta/GLI and 8P Audi A3 & 8J Audi TT/TTS/TTRS models that utilize a dogbone mount and a lower dogbone mount insert. When subjected to violent maneuvers such as burn-outs and wheel-hop, the OEM dogbone mount arm can experience a bending moment, leading to potential failure. This failure can result in the engine becoming unconstrained, causing damage to surrounding components. Constructed from CNC-machined 6061 billet aluminum for the upper insert and water-jet cut aluminum for the lower spacer, this component features a clear anodized finish for durability and corrosion resistance. The kit includes both the upper insert and a lower insert spacer, which ensures the two components do not touch and vibrate against each other. The design effectively eliminates the bending moment in the dogbone arm and ensures even compression of the upper and lower dogbone mount pucks, thereby preventing wear on the lower puck. The 034 Motorsport Dogbone Mount Inserts are rated for LOW - MED NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness) levels. While idling, no NVH is created, and some light NVH may be noticeable on initial take-off. NVH is subjective, and user experiences may vary. Installation involves applying a light coating of grease to the upper insert before placement. This product is strongly recommended when using the OEM dogbone mount in conjunction with a lower insert.
