The conversion is compatible with original 32kW / 44HP or 37kW / 50HP fan housings and can also accommodate a larger fan rotor with an upgraded fan housing, creating more space for carburetor installation.

The CSP Type-4 Upright Fan Conversion is a premium ignition component manufactured in Germany, designed to transform your Type 4 engine. This kit facilitates an effortless conversion to an upright fan configuration, allowing you to reuse many existing parts while ensuring optimal cooling air distribution. Installation involves minor drilling tasks on the engine case. For CU engine cases, milling is required along with an additional spacer (198 230 400CU). The alternator stand, compatible with both DC and AC generators, is mounted to the engine casing with the provided retaining block. The cylinder covers are constructed from black gel-coated, glass-fiber reinforced plastic, with spark plug hole locations indicated for precise drilling according to your cylinder heads. The original oil cooler must be removed and replaced with a front oil cooler; full fitting instructions are included for this process. This conversion kit is compatible with original 32kW / 44HP or 37kW / 50HP fan housings. For enhanced cooling efficiency and increased space for carburetor installation, it can be used with an upgraded 22kW / 30HP style fan housing that accommodates a larger fan rotor. The product is intended for use as originally designed and requires installation by a qualified professional. Fitting instructions are typically not included.
