The Focal ISU 165 is a 2-way component speaker kit engineered for seamless integration into existing vehicle audio systems. Designed with a focus on both sound quality and ease of installation, this kit aims to significantly improve your audio experience without requiring extensive modifications. Its compact form factor, achieved by reducing housing depth to just 48.9 mm, allows it to fit into many original-fit locations, making it a versatile upgrade option. This component kit features a 6.5" (165mm) polyglass woofer, constructed using Focal's exclusive Polyglass technology that combines excellent damping with rigidity for well-defined mids and a remarkable linearity in the frequency response. Complementing the woofer is a new generation inverted aluminum/magnesium tweeter, which provides high-finesse treble with low directivity and improved acceleration thanks to its small, light voice coil. The tweeter's materials, aluminum for rigidity and magnesium for damping, contribute to reduced distortion and refined high-frequency reproduction. Installation is simplified by the integrated 6dB/oct crossover and the shallow mounting depth. The kit also includes accessories for tweeter support, allowing for various mounting options such as flush-mounting, inclined or flat supports, or installation behind the original grille. This flexibility ensures that mounting can be achieved without compromising the overall sound experience. The ISU 165 boasts a high sensitivity of 93 dB and handles up to 140W max power (70W RMS), delivering dynamics and neutrality to your soundstage.
