This kit features highly resistant DFS® (Dual Fiberglass Structure) membrane woofers, known for their robustness and ability to handle extreme conditions, delivering a good descent into the bass. Complementing the woofers are aluminum inverted dome tweeters, a Focal signature since 1981, offering precise treble and superior spatial dispersion with very low directivity for an incredibly stable soundstage. The performance of the 165 AS is characterized by high power handling, robustness, and sound definition. It operates within a power range of 6-60 watts RMS (120 watts peak) with a sensitivity of 91.3 dB and an impedance of 4 ohms. The frequency response spans from 60Hz to 20,000 Hz, ensuring a wide spectrum of sound reproduction. For enhanced listening comfort and sound customization, the kit includes a three-position tweeter level control. The provided tweeter mounting accessories offer a wide array of options, allowing for precise placement to achieve the best possible sound image.
