This subwoofer incorporates several exclusive JL Audio technologies and proprietary assembly techniques aimed at enhancing linearity and long-term reliability. It features a mineral-filled polypropylene cone for robust construction and superior audio reproduction. With an RMS power handling of 500 watts and a recommended amplifier power range of 150-500W RMS, it is well-suited for demanding audio systems. The nominal impedance is 4 Ohms. The 12W3v3-4 is optimized for specific enclosure types to achieve its best performance. It is designed to operate optimally in a compact sealed enclosure measuring 1.125 cubic feet (31.8 L), or a larger ported enclosure of 1.75 cubic feet (49.6 L). These enclosure recommendations ensure the subwoofer can deliver its full potential in terms of bass response and output. Key physical specifications include a nominal diameter of 12.0 inches (300 mm), an overall diameter of 12.5 inches (318 mm), and a mounting depth of 6.65 inches (169 mm). The driver displacement is 0.071 cu. ft. (2.01 L).
