The Rockford Fosgate M2-8HB Color Optix™ 2-way 8-inch horn speakers are engineered to deliver exceptional sound quality while providing a vibrant lighting experience for your marine vessel. These speakers are purpose-built for the marine environment, featuring Element Ready™ construction to withstand water, salt, and UV rays, ensuring longevity. The M2-8HB boasts a 300-watt RMS power handling (1200 watts peak) and a 4-ohm impedance, driven by a 1-inch high-efficiency horn tweeter and an 8-inch injection-molded mineral-filled polypropylene cone. These speakers offer a unique Color Optix™ lighting experience, controllable via the Rockford Fosgate Color Optix™ plug-and-play controller (sold separately) and the RF Connect™ App. This system allows for a wide range of bright, customizable lighting effects to enhance your journey. The design also includes multiple grille options, such as stainless-steel or "sport" inserts, for personalized customization. Integrated Deutsch™ and Amphenol™ connections provide industry-leading marine plug-and-play connectivity, simplifying installation and ensuring a flexible setup. Key construction details include a UV and salt-fog resistant TPE surround, a moisture, tear, and fatigue-resistant aramid fiber spider, and a vented motor design with a water-repelling nano-coated mesh screen. The crossover network is a 12dB/Octave design with metallized polyester film capacitors, housed within an integrated concealed crossover (ICC) for a cleaner installation. The speakers are IPX6 water intrusion rated and have undergone rigorous testing, including ASTM G154 (UV) and ASTM B117 (Salt/Fog), ensuring durability in harsh conditions.
